Our Partners
At The Reach for Health Centre, we believe that meaningful partnerships create stronger, more sustainable outcomes for the people and communities we serve. Collaboration lies at the heart of what we do — bringing together health professionals, academic institutions, charities, and community organisations to share knowledge, expertise, and resources.
Through partnership, we’re able to expand opportunities for innovation, research, and education while delivering high-quality rehabilitation and wellbeing services that reach more people. Each collaboration plays an important role in helping us deliver our mission: to support individuals in rebuilding confidence, independence, and quality of life through movement, connection, and care.
Together, our partners help us to:
-
Develop and deliver evidence-based rehabilitation and health programmes
-
Enhance training and placement opportunities for students and professionals
-
Share research, data, and best practice that drive service improvement
-
Build a stronger, more connected community for those living with long-term conditions
We are proud to work alongside a growing network of partners who share our commitment to improving lives — locally, regionally, and beyond.

Muscular Dystrophy Support Centre
The Muscular Dystrophy Support Centre (MDSC) is an independent charity dedicated to supporting people living with muscular dystrophy and other muscle-wasting conditions. We are proud to have established a partnership with MDSC, enabling us to extend our services and reach more individuals in need of specialist care.
Across the UK, more than 110,000 people are affected by muscle-wasting conditions — with around 12,000 adults in the Midlands region alone. Sadly, many people experience a significant decline in NHS-provided physiotherapy after the age of 19. Recognising this gap, MDSC provides highly specialised physiotherapy tailored to the needs of those living with muscular dystrophy.
As part of our partnership, we now host a weekly satellite clinic at The Reach for Health Centre. These sessions are delivered by experienced physiotherapists with expertise in muscular dystrophy, ensuring individuals can access the support they need closer to home.

University of Northampton
We've long partnered with the University of Northampton, focusing on knowledge exchange and data management.
Their research informs our interventions, enhancing rehabilitation, especially for the 50+ stroke survivors we support.
Insights on eccentric loading aid our team's professional development.
Through UoN’s placement provision, we’re developing a system to collect meaningful data, improving intervention effectiveness. Looking ahead, we aim to collaborate with Dr. Baxter on a joint funding bid to advance neurorehabilitation research and impact.
